How can I take a part in this project?

We creating an Island of Peace in the ocean of the war

To help 100 people in a case of emergency and up to 50 in regular situation we are building a winter house and rehabilitation space for refugees and community.

Now refugees live in summer houses of community members and the other ecovillages. They lost their homes because of military actions and don't have a safe place for living in winter.

THE STORIES OF REFUGEES, WHO FOUND A SHELTER IN BUSHA TOLOKA

Helen Luch moved to Busha Toloka from Zaporizhzhya city with her ex-husband and 6 childrens. Helen and her three children decided to stay in Busha Toloka and live in ecovillage. The community offered this family a house and helped to make some renovation. Children are now continue their education in online school.

Lilia and her family left the city of Volnovakha, Donetsk region. They rode under military shelling and get to the peaceful territory of Busha. Now they rent a house here. Lilia made her small business: production of a traditional Ukrainian food - varenyky. Family also receives support from the Busha Toloka community as kitchen technique, materials for building the stove, wood for heating, etc.

Kuiko's family

This family lived in Kharkiv. Olena used to be a Financial director of several Ukrainian's NGOs. Her partner used to be a businessman importing an equipment to Africa. From the beginning of war they moved to Busha Toloka, where they found a house, renovated it with the help of community, repaired heating system and now making sanitary room.

Here, in Busha Toloka they found a shelter, material, financial and psychological help. Olena was able to evacuate her parents from the occupied Kupyansk to Busha Toloka as well. And now, finally, the whole family is together.

There are two families on this photo. They are relatives. Dasha and her son moved to Busha Toloka from Kharkiv. From February few month she tried to live in Moldova, but she felt, that Ukraine is her home and she came back.

Meanwhile, the family of her son's father has been staying in Busha since April. Valerchik's grandparents were taken out of Kupyansk with great difficulty, their legs stopped walking

due to the stress of the bombing and shelling. In Busha Toloka, they got better and regained the ability to walk. And now they are enjoying their new life.

This building is part of the social, ecological and permaculture project of Busha Toloka.
It is a strawbale construction on two floors and 442 m2 in total, which projected to be off-greed and made of local and reused materials.
It has 5 leaving family rooms, a dormitory space, 2 bathrooms, one of them for people with disabilities, kitchen-dining and big community hall, which can be also used as extra sleeping room for up to 50 people.
